How did the business come about?

In the late '90's while framing town homes, a homeless man by the name of Sammy, would come visit the jobsite daily. This homeless man would give strong opinions of how he thought the job should be done- while in a drunken slumber.

After many weeks of this, the crew jokingly nicknamed, Kirby the boss, after "Sammy" the very opinionated drunken homeless man. In 1997 Kirby was in a major construction accident which forced him to leave the construction company, but his dedication and strong passion for building led him to start his own construction company after physical therapy.

You can see his passion through his hard work and many loyal customers that have made this transition possible, but with a slowing economy the business needed to expand to encompass a broader spectrum of clients.

This is where Express Handymen comes in. It was built for two primary reasons beyond a slowing construction market: The first reason is to become the one-stop-shop for our customers. Our customer's construction needs are more important to our business, no matter the size. The second reason is to provide comprehensive quality service.
